Step 2: CBT
Before you ride: Compulsory Basic Training. Everyone has to start their riding with a CBT course. It's a training day, which covers the basics of bikes, and it's compulsory. It's not a test as such but you do need to complete it to an acceptable standard before being let loose on the roads. CBT will get you going in a safe and practical way. Most folk stop here and move onto motorbikes when 17. If you want to pass your Moped test, however, you can continue with the next steps.

Step 3: Theory Test
Get the knowledge: Theory Test. After your CBT you can ride on the road, enjoying the freedom and independence, To help understand the 'rules of the road' you need to do some learning for the Theory and Hazard Perception Test.
A DVD from one of the supermarkets or Amazon etc is usually all you need, plus a bit of practise. When you're ready, get it booked.

Step 4: Practical Test
Prove you can ride: Practical Test. You will probably be
whizzing around quite well but to pass your practical test
you will need a bit of training. The practical test is in two
parts, Module 1 is off-road and Module 2 is on-road. We
can help with both modules ensuring you know what's
required and that your riding is up to scratch.
