Age 17 - 20 - Biking starts here!
Step 1: Licence
1st things first: Get your provisional licence. The
DVLA are the source for this and you can find out all about
how to apply for your licence on the Direct Gov site. If you
have a provisional or full car licence it should have
provisional motorbike entitlement as well. Have a look.

Step 2: CBT
Before you ride: Compulsory Basic Training. Everyone
has to start their riding with a CBT course. It's a training
day, which covers the basics of bikes, and it's compulsory.
It's not a test as such but you do need to complete it to an
acceptable standard before being let loose on the roads. CBT will get you going in a safe and practical way, plus work on the answer to the question: "What's the most dangerous part of a motorbike?" (See the Extra Info page for a clue!)"

Step 3: Theory Test
Get the knowledge: Theory Test. After your CBT you can
ride on the road, enjoying the freedom and independence,
To help understand the 'rules of the road' you need to do
some learning for the Theory and Hazard Perception Test.
A DVD from one of the supermarkets or Amazon etc is
usually all you need, plus a bit of practise. When you're
ready, get it booked. If you need help we're here. Note, even if you've passed a car Theory Test, you have to
do a bike one.

Step 4: Practical Test
Get your licence: Practical Test. You will probably be
gaining useful riding experience but to pass your practical
test you will need a bit of training. The practical test is in
two parts, Module 1 is off-road and Module 2 is on-road.
We can help with both modules ensuring you know what's
required and that your riding is up to scratch. To ride
motorcycles you need to take your test on a 125cc bike.
